About ClockWest

ClockWest is an independent online utility site for people who need simple, readable time tools in a browser. The current site includes a live online clock, countdown timer, stopwatch with laps and world time comparison.

What ClockWest is built for

The site is designed around practical timing tasks: checking the current local time, setting a countdown for a focus block, running Pomodoro sessions, setting everyday browser alarms, counting down to events, recording lap times during an activity, and comparing time zones before scheduling a call. The tools are intentionally lightweight and avoid unnecessary account setup.

ClockWest runs as a static website, which helps pages load quickly and keeps the feature set understandable. Where a feature can work locally in the browser, it is kept local. For example, stopwatch export is generated on your device and timer labels do not need to be sent to ClockWest servers.

We do not position ClockWest as a certified timing system. Web browsers can pause scripts in inactive tabs, and mobile devices can delay alerts during sleep or battery-saving modes. The site is for everyday convenience, not safety-critical timing.
