How world time is calculated
ClockWest uses your browser's international time formatting support with IANA time zone identifiers such as Europe/London, America/New_York and Asia/Tokyo. These identifiers allow daylight saving changes to be handled by the browser and operating system time zone database.
World time is useful for scheduling international meetings, checking whether a colleague is likely to be within business hours, planning flights and avoiding date confusion when cities are on opposite sides of midnight.
Better habits for international scheduling
When you send a meeting time to someone in another country, include the city or time zone along with the local time. "Tuesday 10:00 London time" is clearer than "Tuesday morning." If the date matters, include it explicitly because the other person may already be on the next day.
Offsets can change when daylight saving time begins or ends, so avoid memorizing one permanent difference between cities. A world time tool is most helpful when you check the exact date of the meeting. For recurring meetings, review the time again around seasonal clock changes.
